Welcome to Your Science, Your Legacy (“YSYL”), a digital course offered by The Empath Advisor (Australian business number [ABN] 87 618 020 258), founded by Dr. Jenifer Pendiuk Gonçalves and registered in Queensland, Australia.

By enrolling in this course, you enter into a legal agreement with The Empath Advisor. These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase, access, and use of all course materials, related community spaces, and associated digital resources.

By completing your payment and accessing the course through Hotmart, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. 1. Introduction and Definitions

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you (“Student,” “User,” or “Customer”) and The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]) (“we,” “us,” or “our”), founded by Dr. Jenifer Pendiuk Gonçalves and registered in Queensland, Australia.

The Course: Your Science, Your Legacy (“YSYL”) is an online educational program that teaches scientific writing using the proprietary Results-to-Reason™ Method.

The Platform: The course is hosted and sold through Hotmart, a trusted third-party provider that processes payments, manages user access, and enforces refund windows.

The Content: Includes all videos, templates, e-books, PDFs, slides, guides, prompts, forms, AI tools, and any other materials provided as part of this course or its companion resources.

By purchasing and accessing YSYL, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by any applicable policies referenced herein.

2. Purchase and Access Conditions

2.1 Purchase

Your purchase and payment are securely processed through Hotmart, our authorized e-commerce partner. Upon completing your payment, you will receive an automated confirmation email containing your login credentials and instructions to access the course.

All prices, taxes, and currency conversions are determined by Hotmart according to your region at checkout.

2.2 Access Period

You will have 12 months (365 days) of full access to the course content, beginning on the purchase date.

Access is personal, non-transferable, and intended solely for your own educational use.

After the 12-month period expires, your access to the course materials will automatically end unless renewed under a separate agreement.

2.3 Account Use

By enrolling, you agree to:

  • Keep your login details confidential and secure.

  • Not share, sell, gift, or transfer your access credentials to anyone else.

  • Use the course materials exclusively for your personal learning and professional development.

If misuse, unauthorized sharing, or suspicious activity is detected, The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]) reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately and without refund.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All course materials — including but not limited to the Results-to-Reason™ Method, Legacy-in-Motion™ Framework, videos, templates, e-books, PDFs, guides, forms, AI tools, and any other digital or printed resources — are the exclusive property of The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]) and are protected under international copyright, trademark, and intellectual-property laws.

By purchasing Your Science, Your Legacy (YSYL), you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the course materials solely for your own educational and professional development. This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the content publicly or privately.

  • Use any portion of the course or its concepts to create, teach, or sell similar programs, products, or services.

  • Remove, modify, or obscure copyright notices, trademarks, or proprietary markings.

  • Claim authorship or ownership of any part of the program’s intellectual property.

We take intellectual-property protection seriously. Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of materials may result in immediate access termination and, where appropriate, legal action to enforce our rights.

4. Prohibited Conduct

To maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, you agree not to:

  • Share, copy, or forward any course materials, videos, or links with anyone who has not purchased the program.

  • Record, reproduce, or republish course sessions or materials in any format.

  • Use The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]), Your Science, Your Legacy, or any associated content, name, or brand for promotional, commercial, or instructional purposes without written permission.

  • Post or engage in harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or disruptive behavior in any course-related communication spaces, including community platforms, comment sections, or emails.

The Empath Advisor reserves the right to remove, suspend, or permanently terminate the access of any participant who violates these Terms — with or without prior notice — and without refund.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

5.1 Refund Guarantee (via Hotmart)

All purchases include a 15-day satisfaction guarantee, processed directly through Hotmart, our authorized e-commerce partner.

  • During this 15-day window, you may request a full refund — no questions asked — through your Hotmart account.

  • Refunds are handled automatically by Hotmart according to their global policy.

  • After this 15-day period, the automatic refund option expires and the sale becomes final.

Refund requests must be made within the 15 days following the date of purchase. Once the refund is processed, your access to Your Science, Your Legacy will be permanently revoked.

5.2 Refunds After 15 Days

After the Hotmart refund window closes, all sales are considered final. Refunds or cancellations will not be issued except in the following limited situations:

  • Verified technical access issues that prevent you from using the course, reported within 7 days of discovery; or

  • Exceptional circumstances evaluated at the sole discretion of The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]).

Requests outside the Hotmart guarantee must be submitted by email to theempathadvisor@gmail.com, including your full name, purchase date, and a detailed explanation of the issue.

5.3 No Refunds Based on Usage

Refund eligibility is determined solely by the time elapsed since purchase, not by the extent to which you have accessed or used the materials. This means that after the 15-day Hotmart guarantee period ends, you are no longer entitled to a refund, regardless of whether you:

  • Have viewed all, some, or none of the course content;

  • Have downloaded or not downloaded any materials; or

  • Have completed, partially completed, or not yet started the course.

Once your purchase is confirmed, you receive immediate access to the full course, and this access remains active for a 12-month period from the date of purchase. Your access will continue uninterrupted during this time unless it is revoked due to a violation of these Terms — for example, unauthorized sharing of materials, abusive behavior, or other prohibited conduct outlined in Section 4.

5.4 Access Termination After Refund

If a refund is granted under any circumstance, your access to the course materials and any related communities or bonuses will end immediately and permanently.

6. Platform Use and Third-Party Services

Your Science, Your Legacy is delivered and managed through Hotmart, a trusted third-party platform that processes payments, hosts course materials, and provides your student account.

While we strive to ensure a seamless learning experience, The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]) is not responsible for:

  • Temporary service interruptions, platform updates, or maintenance performed by Hotmart;

  • Internet or device issues on the user’s side;

  • Browser settings, plug-ins, or software incompatibilities that may affect access or video playback;

  • Any loss of data or progress resulting from factors outside our direct control.

The course may occasionally include access to or integration with other third-party tools (for example, Tally forms, downloadable templates, or AI assistants). These tools are provided “as is”, for educational and convenience purposes only. We do not own, control, or guarantee the operation, accuracy, or availability of these external services, and their use may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

By using Your Science, Your Legacy, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection and compatible device; and

  • The Empath Advisor cannot be held liable for any interruptions or limitations caused by third-party platforms or tools.

7. Disclaimer of Guarantees and Limitation of Liability

Your Science, Your Legacy (YSYL) is an educational program designed to provide guidance, tools, and strategies for scientific writing and professional development. It does not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, or therapeutic advice.

While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy and quality of the course content, The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]) makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes, such as:

  • Acceptance of manuscripts, grants, or publications;

  • Career advancement, promotions, or employment opportunities;

  • Improvements in writing performance, productivity, or recognition.

You acknowledge that your results depend on your own effort, background, and implementation of the material. We cannot control or promise individual achievements or measurable outcomes.

The course and all related materials are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, where The Empath Advisor (ABN [87 618 020 258]) is registered and operates.

Because Your Science, Your Legacy is offered internationally, we aim to comply with general principles of international e-commerce and consumer protection law. However, in the event of any disagreement or dispute, the laws of Queensland, Australia, shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Before taking any formal legal action, both you and The Empath Advisor agree to make a genuine, good-faith effort to resolve the matter informally — first by written communication via theempathadvisor@gmail.com, and, if needed, through mediation or another mutually agreed alternative dispute-resolution process.

If a legal dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that the courts of Queensland, Australia will have exclusive jurisdiction to hear the matter, unless consumer-protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

By continuing to access or use Your Science, Your Legacy after any such changes are posted, you acknowledge and agree to the revised Terms.

If you do not agree with the updated version, you must discontinue your use of the course and contact us within seven (7) days of publication to discuss your options.

12. Testimonials and Marketing Consent

Unless you provide explicit written consent, we will only identify you by first name, initials, or professional title (for example, “PhD Student, Germany”) to respect your privacy.

If you are accessing the course on behalf of another person or institution, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.
